Creating images that express the awe and beauty that we feel as mothers when we are expecting is just a part of what we seek to accomplish at Lindsay Walden Photography. One magical way of creating completely unique and awe inspiring images that reflect the femininity and majesty of pregnancy is through underwater maternity photography. Today we share a bit more about that experience and what to expect for your own underwater maternity photography session.

To begin you are welcomed to our studio and given your choice of several gowns from our collection of over 20 plus couture maternity gowns. We have styles, colors and sizes for everyone. We also have yards and yards of flowing fabric that can be used during your underwater maternity photography session to create beauty and drama. Once you are dressed in your first gown we provide a snuggly, warm bath robe to wrap up in before entering the pool.

These beautiful sessions take place in an outdoor pool that is comfortably heated to the upper 90’s making these sessions available year round! Your safety and comfort are our first priority. The pool is only five feet deep at it’s deepest which means you will be able to easily stand with your head above water at any time. As an added precaution both Lindsay and our studio manager stay in the water to assist during the session to make sure you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed during your session.

Lindsay Walden Photography only uses the best in photography gear and equipment. Our full frame camera and wide angle lens are perfectly fitted in an Ikelite housing to protect the equipment as well as ensure that the quality of your images will be exceptional. We see little point in using high quality lenses if you are going to put cheap plastic in front of it so we love the quality of the Ikelite dome and housing. We will also utilize underwater strobes when needed to capture the perfect lighting scenarios.
