I am so pleased to announce the completion of the final image in the Newborn Masterpiece Collection. Creating this series has been an incredible journey. I am so grateful for the wonderful support of so many and especially to the sweet subjects of my artwork and their families. This final image is dear to me as the artist inspired me to consider creating this series. I have included the entire series of images below.
Almost exactly a year ago I stood in front of Gustave Caillebotte’s Paris Street, Rainy Day at the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. I was in awe of his use of light and shadows, leading lines and other artistic techniques that make his paintings so incredible. I couldn’t help but draw comparisons to my own art form and the first seed of an idea was planted. I will forever be grateful to Caillebotte for his genius and for igniting that spark of creativity in me. I found this background especially challenging to create. My interpretation is far from an exact duplication and I have a much greater appreciation for the amount of work it took for Caillebotte to create this masterful piece of art.
