Father’s Day Gift Ideas For Your Favorite Dad
We hope all you moms enjoyed Mother’s Day this year and were spoiled. We definitely felt the love and are grateful to be moms. All of us at Lindsay Walden Photography are mothers and our kiddos bring us so much joy. Now it’s time we focus on those amazing dads out there. Most dads we have come across here love funny gifts, which is one of the reasons why finding gifts for them is quite exciting. We always love having dads in the studio and the special perspective they bring. So for all the awesome dads out there, we wanted to share some fun Father’s Day gift ideas starting with our very favorite gift baskets exclusively available on the manlymanco website.
One of our favorite moments during a fine art newborn photography session is when we place our tiny little client into their father’s hands. We love these close-up images. Placing a sweet little one or two week-old newborn into those big, masculine hands emphasizes how tiny they are in that moment as they rest peacefully and safely in their father’s hands. They grow so fast but those strong hands will always be there to catch them.
We think this type of image would make a great gift sitting on Dad’s desk at work, the nightstand by his bead or on a shelf in his man-cave. For Father’s Day we are offering a few limited edition artwork options that would be perfect for this. Small, stand-alone artwork perfect for any of these locations but still unique and beautiful.
For a modern look we recommend acrylic blocks. We can design these as an 8×10 or 5×7. They can stand alone on a desk, have beautiful clean lines and look amazing.
For something more rustic we love wood blocks. These are images that are printed on archival paper and then adhered to a wood block. Artisans hand-distress the edges around the image giving a subtle softness to the overall look and then hand paint a clear protective glaze over the top which gives the illusion of a painting. These blocks are handcrafted in the Netherlands and are incredible quality.
