I am so pleased to announce the completion of the final image in the Newborn Masterpiece Collection. Creating this series has been an incredible journey. I am so grateful for the wonderful support of so many and especially to the sweet subjects of my artwork and their families. This final image is dear to me as the artist inspired me to consider creating this series. I have included the entire series of images below.
Almost exactly a year ago I stood in front of Gustave Caillebotte’s Paris Street, Rainy Day at the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. I was in awe of his use of light and shadows, leading lines and other artistic techniques that make his paintings so incredible. I couldn’t help but draw comparisons to my own art form and the first seed of an idea was planted. I will forever be grateful to Caillebotte for his genius and for igniting that spark of creativity in me. I found this background especially challenging to create. My interpretation is far from an exact duplication and I have a much greater appreciation for the amount of work it took for Caillebotte to create this masterful piece of art.
This image is probably the most recognizable worldwide and is my personal favorite with this darling smiling moon in Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Starry Night.
Paul Cezannes’ Still Life, Drapery, Pitcher and Bowl.
Leonid Efremov’s Autumn Music.
Wild Poppies near Argenteuil by Claude Monet.
The Star by Edgar Degas.
Blue Dancers by Edgar Degas.
Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.
La Promenade or Woman with a Parasol by Claude Monet.
Irises by Vincent van Gogh.
With the Newborn Masterpiece Collection completed, I am already beginning on my next project, the Newborn Nursery Rhyme series. These are the first two images in the series. Little Miss Muffet and Jack and Jill. Excited to see where this next project takes me.
