One of the best things about being a newborn photographer is watching these little ones grow up. I think we can all agree that it happens far too quickly. Our babies change so much in the first year of their lives. From the sweet freshness of a brand new baby to those dazzling smiles that light up a parent’s heart to the tiny accomplishments that seem so monumental at the time. These are the moments we want to treasure for forever.

Even if my interaction is limited to a photo shoot every few months I can clearly see the characteristics of the individual child’s personality shining through in each image. The common thread of their uniqueness is apparent from their newborn session to a four month session to eight months to a year. Your child is blessed with darling traits unique to them that I am thrilled to capture for you.

As a parent we cannot help our excitement as we watch our little one grow and learn new things. Their first year of life is chock full of of these wonderful learning opportunities and we watch in amazement as our helpless, snuggly infant becomes more and more independent and curious about the world around them.

Milestone sessions are an excellent way to preserve these memories. As a mother I want to remember those moments that affected me so deeply that it almost seemed that time stood still. When your baby first smiles and reaches for your face. When she rolls over and looks at you triumphantly. Those first unsteady steps on tiny feet. It is so much easier to recall these important moments and connect again with those feelings when we have that visual cue to remind us how we felt in that moment. Some other really cute pictures to take is with the baby wrapped up in a sling carrier. I love spending time with my growing kids, playing video games with our Armchair Empire keyboard and with a purchase OW boost for their shooter games or thumbing through photo albums and recalling these memories that we have preserved together.
