Lindsay Walden Photography is a fine art newborn, maternity, and child photography studio. What is a fine art newborn photographer? It begins with our philosophy and approach as artists. Each session is carefully planned and designed to represent the style, interests, and loves of the individual client. When we incorporate elements into our images that you love then those images tell a story and are deeply meaningful to you. To follow is a sample of a typical fine art newborn photography gallery and a more detailed description of our design process.
Each of our clients has the opportunity to meet with Lindsay during a pre-session meeting. These can take place several months in advance of your session. At this pre-session meeting, we will discuss your specific style, your ideas for the session, and any heirlooms or story-telling type images you would like to create for your fine art newborn session. Sometimes it is as simple as selecting colors that you love. We then use our extensive collection of props to design your unique artwork. These color combos of blue, brown, and tan are so yummy. And this little cutie gave us so many smiles during his session. To incorporate our client’s love for travel we shot this image on one of our many gorgeous backdrops and then added the map as an overlay. Such a fun and unique image. We love the simple beauty and drama of this image taken on a stunning mandala. The week prior to this little guy’s session we were visiting a local doctor’s office. Their lobby had an impressive glass mosaic that was breathtaking. Lindsay was so inspired she wanted to create a special image using a similar technique. She quickly realized she would need a lot more of the glass beads to create the particular design she had in mind but this image still turned out just beautifully. We love the way the light catches the beads and brings your eye straight to baby. Clients can also request a composite image. These are photographed in the safety and comfort of the studio. This image was a special request being that it is the year of the dog. Cutest little puppy! In addition to the more intricate fine art images we create for each newborn session we also love to fill the gallery with those sweet and simple images that really emphasize how tiny your newborn baby is. We love how the texture of this wool flokati helps to emphasize the soft newness of your baby’s skin. And we just love each of these poses and how they bring out different adorable features of your baby. Like those squishy back rolls. And those adorable cheeks. Or those pouty lips. Your newborn session would not be complete without a beautiful family image. How lucky were we to capture this perfect little smile! So sweet and tiny in his daddy’s hands. And doesn’t mom just look stunning!? As part of the fine art newborn photography experience, you can choose to have professional hair and make-up done here in our studio. It is so fun to be pampered while we take care of your little one. And we always capture those sweet little details with macro images of little lips, fingers and toes.
