Bringing a new life into the world is a journey filled with questions, excitement, and so many decisions. For modern parents who crave calm, clarity, and elevated support, Babymoon Concierge offers something truly special. Led by a seasoned doula with a heart for service and a background as dynamic as the families she supports, this unique concierge model blends expert care with the personal touch that new and expecting parents deserve. As a fine art newborn photographer who works closely with families during their most tender moments, I recognize the value of trusted, high-level support during this season of life. In this interview with founder, Cheryl Abrams, we explore the inspiration behind Babymoon Concierge, the passion that fuels it, and why it has become one of the most sought-after luxury postpartum and newborn services in the DFW area.
Can you tell us a little about what inspired you to start Babymoon Concierge?
I’ve always been passionate about supporting women during life-changing experiences. After working as a temporary nanny for a postpartum mom, I saw the profound impact a doula can have. That moment sparked my journey into birth and postpartum care and I began training to be a doula.
What’s your background, and how did it lead you to create a business that supports expecting and new parents?
I have worked many jobs in the past. I spent 10 years in the Army, I am a wife and mother of two, I had a home daycare when my children were young, and I was a licensed cosmetologist. When I retired from doing hair I wanted another profession that could make a difference in the lives of families, so I trained as a birth and postpartum doula and found it to be life changing. I always say I wish I could have found this profession 30 years ago.
Where does the name “Babymoon Concierge” come from, and what does it represent to you?
Many couples plan a last hurrah before the new baby comes, because they know that life will be different when the new baby arrives on the scene. A concierge is a person that assists guests by arranging tours and getting tickets for hotel guests. Well, think of me as a concierge in your home that helps you with a baby who you don’t know anything about by educating you about the demands of this new person. We have a vast resource list of products and service providers to assist when needed. And we are ready to give our expertise and advice. Babymoon Concierge is more than a service; it’s a lifestyle brand built for modern parents who want professionalism without sacrificing heart.

What types of services do you offer through Babymoon Concierge?
We offer:
How does your concierge experience help parents feel more supported during pregnancy and postpartum?
When parents sign up with us while pregnant, we continually keep up to date reports of their progress. We are there to answer all of their questions they might have and refer them to any one that could give them the information that they need that is outside of our scope of practice.
You offer such personalized care — can you walk us through what a typical client experience looks like?
The client experience starts with filling out an inquiry form.
We then send the client an email to set up a zoom or face to face meeting. During that meeting we find out what the client is looking for then we can determine the kind of service that would be right for them. We also talk about budget, which some have and some do not. When a client agrees on a service then they are added to our system where we keep up to date with calls, classes, and information for them until they give birth. Once the baby is born whatever the client had decided on their care prior to the birth we try to stick with that program unless the clients feel changes are needed.
How do you tailor your services to meet the needs of each individual family?
Every family is different and may not need the same care as another family. Some clients may have an extended family member nearby and will utilize us weeks or months after the birth. Some will want us to stay in the hospital after the birth and help. And some clients may sign a contract stating we need to come 2 weeks after the baby comes home, but after one day at home and parents get no rest, change their minds and frantically call to retract. We understand that the Family dynamic is different and we try to accommodate. In essence that is the true meaning of a concierge.
What sets Babymoon Concierge apart from other postpartum or maternity support services?
Babymoon Concierge isn’t just a service — it’s an experience. From the moment a parent reaches out, they’re treated with care, discretion, and tailored support.
Many of our readers love curated, luxury experiences. How does Babymoon Concierge elevate the standard of care?
Our services are curated to feel like a 5-star retreat in the comfort of home. Personalized care plans based on family values, parenting style, and household dynamics. Thoughtfully matched doulas and specialists with each client’s personality and needs. Premium, on-demand services, including overnight newborn care, gourmet postpartum meals, and home organization. Unlike traditional doula groups, Babymoon Concierge handles every detail with efficiency and elegance.
Can you share a favorite story of a client experience that really stayed with you?
There are too many to tell but I will share the last client that I had. I took care of this family on a 24/7 assignment for 2 months on their ranch in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely loved it and did not want to go home. I got to cook one of a kind meals, teach mom how to cook to include making sourdough bread for them on a weekly basis, help organize the nursery, help to give breastfeeding tips and share parenting tips for this new family. I think I have the best job in the world.

What are some of the most common concerns or needs you help clients with as they prepare for their baby’s arrival?
Most parents don’t know anything about birth and postpartum until they are educated on the many choices surrounding childbirth. That is why I am adamant about the clients who hire me to be educated before and after the baby is born.
They spend so much time and money on the wedding but few spend time and money about being educated about birth.
Do you help coordinate babymoons or travel for expecting couples? If so, what does that process look like?
No, I don’t do that because we are not a travel agency, but I personally know many travel agents that they can choose from who would be more than happy to make arrangements for them.
What tips would you give to expecting parents who want to plan a truly restful and memorable babymoon?
My advice would be to travel to a place where you can get the most rest and relaxation, where you are pampered from sunup to sundown because when the baby is born you will be pampering baby from sunup to sundown for the next 18 years.
How do you help new moms during that delicate postpartum period?
To tell you the truth we handle every postpartum mom with kid gloves. Every mom that you meet before the baby is born may or may not have the same personality after the baby is born. We go through so many changes in our bodies and in our relationships. This is why we constantly want to keep the lines of communication open and not assume anything from moms or partners.
What are some unique ways your service supports a mother’s recovery and well-being after birth?
I tell clients that I have a super power that allows me to come into the home and create delicious, one of a kind meals from their pantry and freezer that they did not know they existed.
What’s one thing you wish more families knew about postpartum care?
The Fourth Trimester is where parents need us the most. This should not be a time to isolate completely. Every parent needs to hire a postpartum doula for the first 4 weeks after the baby is born.

How can families get in touch with you or begin working with Babymoon Concierge?
We do have a website: www.babymoonconcierge.com We are on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube and our phone is 682-429-4637.
What’s one piece of advice you always share with new parents?
I share this with every parent, “Enjoy your baby. If you want to hold your baby all day long, don’t let anyone tell you not to do so, they grow up so fast. No one will love and care for your baby more than you and always trust your gut.”
What’s next for Babymoon Concierge — anything exciting on the horizon?
