Happy Mother’s Day weekend! I hope all of you new mamas and expecting mamas especially feel the love.

This beautiful image has been a year in the making. Ever since I created the first image in the masterpiece collection I’ve wanted to find a way to incorporate art and painting into my maternity sessions. I want the images from maternity to newborn and even through a baby’s first year to tell a story. For a thread of connection to weave through each and every session. After a great deal of research, the help of a friend and talking to a paint chemist, I developed a method for “painting” the water that is not only non-toxic and safe, but completely washable. I love the results and can’t wait to do this again.
