I am so indebted to the talented Renee Angela Media for putting together this darling behind the scenes video. Her beautiful daughter starred in the most recent three images from the Newborn Masterpiece Collection so the video is extra special for her. Please excuse my disordered studio (I am a messy creative) and my casual attire (my studio is 80+ degrees during newborn sessions so I dress for a workout).
In addition to starring in three of the Newborn Masterpiece Collection, Renee’s daughter posed for a handful of darling images. I love using silk flowers in my newborn photography sessions. The colors and shapes I can create are so dramatic.
And what little girl doesn’t love pink! I may have an obsession with pink backdrops and have them in multiple hues of pink. I love trying variations on poses I do often. This is a favorite and easy one called bum-up pose. So squishy.
And I love capturing the same pose from different angles. Those chubby back rolls get me every time. So adorable!
The taco pose is fast becoming one of my favorite poses. I love how I am able to emphasize all of a babies adorable features. Especially those itty bitty toes.
The froggy pose is often a favorite for parents. It’s pretty darn cute. The image is a composite of two or more images. My assistant’s hands are supporting baby’s head at all times. One should never attempt this pose without being trained to do so first.
When baby is good and sleepy I love to get more detailed macro shots of the nose, eyelashes, lips and toes. These are the little things that parents never want to forget. Your sweet newborn is only this tiny for a matter of days. Which is why it is important to schedule your newborn session in advance so you can be sure to reserve a session within the first two weeks after birth.
Thanks again Renee Angela Media for the sweet video and for bringing your beautiful daughter to model for me!
